            FAQ

Where are you located?

We are located in Ontario, Canada, between Guelph and Elora. We are about an hour and a half hour drive from Toronto.

Can I visit your dogs/puppies?

Due to safety and health risks, we do not allow visitation. Please refer to the "Visitation" page on the website.

Are your adult dogs health tested?

Our adult dogs all have some standard health testing such as, hip/elbow x-rays, eyes, heart, and some genetic testing. We are always upgrading our testing to ensure that our puppies are as healthy as possible.

Do you ship to the U.S.?

As U.S./Canada Customs regulations have recently been changed, we are now exploring options to ship puppies to the U.S. Temporarily suspended.

Do you ship in Canada?

Yes, we ship to any major airport in Canada. Puppies ship quite well, and the airlines take very good care of them. The shipping charges are approximately $500 and include a new  28" shipping crate, transportation to the airport, vet certificates, and all airline fees.

Do you breed mini Sheepadoodles?

We are now breeding mini's, which should be in the 25-45 lb range full grown, as well as our medium-sized  (50--65lb) standard Sheepadoodles.

What is the difference in temperament between Mini's and Standard Sheepadoodles?

Mini Sheepadoodles possess the same wonderful personality traits as the standards. Some mini's may require a bit more activity and exercise.

Are your puppies F1 or F1b?

Our puppies are first generation Sheepadoodles, which simply means that they are bred from purebred parents. They are referred to as F1.

Do the puppies noses turn black?

Yes. Although the puppies are born with very little pigment (pink), their noses usually turn black by the time they are a few months old.

Do you have any full-grown Sheepadoodles at your farm?

No, I'm afraid that we do not keep our puppies. As much as we would like to keep them, our breeding stock has been carefully chosen, and at this time we are not breeding anything but F1 crosses. However, if you would like to try to connect with Sheepadoodle owners, I would suggest that you check out our FaceBook page, https://www.facebook.com/Sheepadoodlewillowrun/

Do you vaccinate/ de-worm/ microchip puppies?

Yes. All of our puppies go home with their first set of vaccinations. We also keep our puppies on a rigorous de-worming schedule from 2 weeks on. Our puppy package also includes microchipping, a blanket scented by mom and litter-mates, harness, leash and toy.

Are your dogs socialized?

Anyone who has ever purchased a puppy from us can testify to the fact that our puppies are extremely well socialized. Together with my husband, my two sons, my daughter, and my assistant and groom, our puppies are very well handled, loved and cared for, for many hours each day under our strict health/safety protocol. We follow a "Puppy Culture" type program.

Is there a difference in temperament/personality between males and females?

This is one of the questions I get asked quite frequently. The short answer is, that once the pups are neutered, there is very little difference in temperament due to gender. Any personality differences are usually according to the individual dog. Both male and female can display alpha tendencies, or more passive omega tendencies (both of which are completely wonderful). It totally depends on the individual animal.

If I place a deposit, and am unable to honour it, or cannot select the gender I want, can I get a refund?

No, unfortunately deposits are non-refundable. However, you are welcome to defer to a future litter. Your deposit will remain active. Please note: All deferrals must contact me prior to the birth of a litter with their intentions.

What is the price of your puppies?

The price for our standard-size Sheepadoodle puppies is currently at $2,600 (plus HST), and "Mini's" are priced at $3,400 (plus HST). This is subject to change.
